Laure Bachelot

My name is Laure, originally from France; I have been living in the UK for 20 years.

I moved to London to pursue a professional dance training at London Contemporary Dance School and since, I worked professionally across the UK and internationally. My most recent contract was with Punchdrunk in Shanghai. I continue facilitating choreographic and drama workshop for Punchdrunk Enrichment.

Since becoming a mum of twin girls in 2020, my performance career is on hold but my passion for movement and expression is as strong as ever. I aspire to introduce the Feldenkrais Method to as many people as possible. I wish to help individuals to reconnect deeply with themselves, feel confident with their daily activities, improve their existing skills and overcome their limitations. I believe that feeling comfortable in our bodies shapes our environment and enriches how we interact with the world. When we feel open, we can make better choices, live aware and live with greater creativity.

I am also very interested in how Feldenkrais can inform physical creativity in dance, drama, and traditional workplaces. Feldenkrais Into The Unexplored Body is a workshop investigating and exploring the depth of our physicality and spirit. (get in touch to book and for more info).

I was first introduced to the Feldenkrais Method 20 years ago, during my dance training at The Place. Over the years, I used the method in my warm-ups and cooldown times, to overcome my injuries, work creatively with choreographers, and, most recently, play with my twin daughters.

I am a fully qualified and insured practitioner. I trained at Feldenkrais Education‘s professional training in Brussels 1. I am a member of The Feldenkrais UK Guild and the International Feldenkrais Federation. I am also a Pilates instructor and ante & postnatal exercise adaptation specialist.

I look forward to meeting you.
